Some of my Business Sites

BackgroundYou're probably wondering how all this started -- my love of Hawaii that is. Well, I went to McKinley high school on the island of Oahu for a year and have been back just about every year for at least a couple of weeks ever since! I love the place -- the people and the island itself. Over the years, I've come across some things that I call "Hawaii Tips & Pics" for want of a better term. Things that first-timers -- and even third and fourth timers -- might not know. A little more background on myself. I have been a photographer and into digital imaging for many years doing work for such companies as Xerox (not only pictures of printers and such but for a Xerox customer magazine called Benchmark). I've also done work, including covers, for such companies as Rockwell International, Arthur Anderson, 7-Up, IBM, Compex, Port of Los Angeles, Del Taco, and various other corporations. I do a variety of work and in recent years I have specialized in doing magazine covers, designing web pages like this one and art and photos for various high tech companies. My own business web page can be found at www.screenmagic.com/ppp. Back to things Hawaiian, while all the pictures you see in this web site are mine, you should understand that I don't take a ton of pictures while on vacation (that's where the term "bus man's holiday" comes into play). I would like to share the pictures I do have -- as well as my newly developed interest in underwater photography and kayaking -- with you. Now that I have some place to use my Hawaii photos, I plan to take a lot more so check this site now and them for new photos and tips. Cameras: Most photos were taken with a Nikon FM2, Nikonos 5 underwater camera and, yes, I even use my wife's Olympus Stylus camera (great in that you can keep it in your pocket and get those photos you would otherwise miss). On Oahu I tried a Kodak Fun Saver "Weekend 35" recycleable camera that is good for all weather & underwater use. The story of my first flight to Hawaii in 1958 . |
