How can you resist a picture like this? We were walking down the street in Lahaina when we ran across our "Escapee from the Luau" -- we'll probably never be able to eat kalua pig again after seeing this little fellow!
Note: Thanks to a kindred spirit who e-mailed me, I learned the name of the pig is Miley.
You just never know what you'll run into while in Hawaii. One rainy day in December, after three other such rainy days, people apparently started coming down with "cabin fever." After a break in the weather one afternoon, we watched people on a riding lawn mower go down the beach at Lahaina from our lanai at Lahaina Shores. Same rainy afternoon produced two people taking their rabbit for a walk on the beach. I was so amazed I even forgot to take photos!
